When creating your website, remember that it is not about you--it should be about your business. Even though you may have an impressive background and you want to show this off to sound credible, this may not be a good idea.
Put yourself in the shoes of your visitors and think of how your website will look from their eyes. Do you think you will be able to offer them something that they like? Will it be worth the money they will pay you?
Remember, what is important is that you give your visitors something that they can use such as a solution to their problem. Show them that you are able to help them. If you have proof, show them as well. Finally, be able to tell them what they can do next.
If you do this, more people will trust you and will buy from you.
