What's a good option for running a Webinar? I used Skype last time which was excellent for audio & cost but you can only share slides with participants on Mac, iPad etc
Any ideas? What have you found simple & effective?
Thanks
Tom
Hi Tom
GoToMeeting / GoToWebinar used to be the standard, and cost $97 a year. Late last year they suddenly increased that to $97 a month for new customers without warning, so those already on board were fine (except of course that this locked them in!) and newbies have to pay nearly a grand a year. A scandalous case of the market leader using their virtual monopoly to cash in...
A free alternative I have used is AnyMeeting www.anymeeting.com which is free up to 200 attendees. It's ad supported but the ads aren't too intrusinve and the interface looks quite smart. Like any webinar software the attendee experiance ias very dependant on bandwidth and broadband speed - we're not quite there yet in this country!
Microsoft Lync has fantastic algorithms that can stream video over slow broadband but I believe it's a closed system - everybody has to be running Lync to take part and it's not free!
Hope that helps...
