Sometimes the best-laid plans are scuppered, by things which are totally out of our control. Fortunately most of the time it is not the end of the world. For our family dinner, we will just get together when everyone is better and in business probably a bit of tweaking is all that is needed, to make the best of things.
I still think it is far more productive to have a plan, which needs a bit of adapting here and there than having no plan to follow at all. Which is a bit like knowing where you need to go, but having no directions to help you to get there.
So what have you got planned for next year?
Will you be doing much the same as this year or will you be making a few changes for an even better year?
I have ended the year by being interviewed for a blog by Fiona Scott, which was very exciting. The blog is titled Fiona Talks Gratitude .....with Rebecca Harrison and will be published on the 2nd January on huffpost.com.
I was also given a media diary for Christmas, which has the dates of many special days throughout the year. There are more than I could have ever imagined. Some are rather strange like, the 30th December is Bicarbonate of soda day, which is celebrated in America. Others are a little less strange.
The diary has really helped me to plan for the year ahead and has lots of useful tips and ideas to tie in the days, with what you do. It is also great for that little bit of inspiration, which can be lacking now and again.
So whatever your plans for the year ahead, just remember they are not always set in stone and will sometimes need a bit of tweaking. But that is okay and is all part of the process.
