There are a lot of benefits that you can get just by using social media to grow your business. With the different opportunities that it presents, it is undeniable that a lot of entrepreneurs will be joining the bandwagon.
Hence, they create their social media accounts with hopes of getting the results that they want. If you are to be successful, you need to be able to use social media wisely to not only showcase your products and services but also to influence your target audience and other entrepreneurs.
In the book written by Professor Robert Cialdini, Influence – the Psychology of Persuasion, there are six tools of influence. One of the tools of influence is reciprocation.
Reciprocation is one of the best ways to market your business effectively. However, before you can even do this, you need to help yourself first. As the saying goes, you cannot fully help someone if you cannot even help yourself.
In business, if you haven’t fully understood the process that you need to do in order to succeed, you will not be able to help others make good decisions in their business. Other people need to see that you have authority over your business and that you are knowledgeable about how you grow your business.
Once your target audience and other people start trusting you, it will be easy to market your business to them. This is when referral comes in. If you want them to reciprocate to you, you need to be able to give them something that is useful. Hence, if you want them to refer you, you can refer them as well.
Aside from the obvious referral, you need to be able to produce content that’s ready for sharing via social media. You can create a video, get excerpts from relevant books, or give them free eBooks that you find online or eBooks that you have written.
It’s best that you be seen as a giver and appear knowledgeable about your craft so that when you try to help others, they can also do the same thing for you. Using social media to grow your business is something that you need to take seriously especially if you are adamant on taking your business to the next level.
