What can I say about your networking?

Tomorrow I present to New Directions Job Club on the benefits of Business Networking in Berkshire.

Apart from how excellent it is to view everyone in this site, what else can I say about the benefits and specifics of your groups?

Do you have any tips on how to get the most out of being at a business networking event?

Thanks

Tom

Any ideas? What have you found simple & effective?

Thanks

And if it goes wrong, own up to what you are doing and have a giggle about it

Here is a 4-step exercise that will work for any company or product. You must simply…

5 things to do every day to build your business. Any others?

1. Plan for the future a few minutes each day. Assume that your product has stopped selling all of a sudden. What direction will you take your company next? What new income stream can you add? This is a time for day dreaming and recording notes in preparation for the future. You don't necessarily have to take action on these items, but you need to think about them daily in order to bring out the best ideas.

2.Work on your marketing  in some aspect…

Why, Why, Why, Why, Why?

A technique to find the root cause of a problem is to ask Why? 5 times.

But before you rush off and prove this for yourself there are a couple of things to consider, so practise first.

Ask yourself Why 5 times and at about the third time it may will feel very personal (good) and can swiftly move to be down right rude, invasive and abusive (bad)

So practise and think about how you can phrase the why into the question you want answering or you want to get to the bottom of…
