US Shutdown - Who, What, When, Where, Why (and How)

When I read that the American lawmakers have shutdown non-essential services leaving nearly a million government employees on unpaid leave, ‘furloughed’ as they say in the States, I couldn’t quite believe they had gone down this road again – politicians gone mad!

Tesco, Europe & Customer Service

It was with interest that I listened to the news that Tesco’s profits have fallen by 23.5% and their market share fallen from 30.9% to 30.2% whilst Sainsbury’s has grown by 0.2% to 16.5%.

Tesco blame this on a “challenging retail environment, particularly in Europe”
